Joyous Season of Christmas

Well, it is January 9th, 2014 and the first day of school for the children after the Christmas break. They were supposed to resume their classes three days ago but the severe weather has not allowed that. I finally have some "free time" to sit down and think about the blessings of the joyous season.
Christmas is to be spend with the family and friends. It is the season to be grateful for the immense love of our Lord Jesus in making Himself human and be born as a child in Bethlehem. Jesus has been our great gift this season. And as well as you all, we have been blessed with family and friends to spend this Christmas together. Even though we are very far away from our homeland, Barcelona, we have never felt alone. You, brothers and sisters, have been with us in your prayers, in your generous gifts, and also in physical presence.
I cannot but to amaze myself at the valor and courage of a group of dear sisters that drove all the way from Lincoln, Nebraska to bring us love, encouragement, friendship, presents and gifts, and even baked delicious Christmas cookies for all! We want to thank our dear sisters Mary Schkade, Ellen Waak, Diane Quitmeyer and our "American mom" Nancy Middendorf for their trip to Fort Wayne. Here there are some pictures of our dear friends. By the way, Nancy had been at the hospital for some days only two days before she drove all the way to Fort Wayne. Her courage and valor is inspiring. Thank you sisters! Thank you Christ Lutheran Church. Thank you Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, IN. Thank you Saint James Lutheran Church, Logansport, IN. Thanks be to God!

We have also had the blessing of having Santi's mom, Maria Asuncion with us this Christmas. She came all the way from Argentina where she currently lives to Fort Wayne. She brought with her gifts and the love of a mother and a grandmother. We are thankful to God for granting her safe travel from and to Argentina.

Please, let's keep in touch. Click here to subscribe!
